My complaint:

eBay has made commitments and promises that they haven’t honored which came at a cost to me. Recently I used their platform to sell my SAINT LAURENT MOTORCYCLE JACKET IN PLUNGED LAMBSKIN (US 42, YSL 52, AU 42) Order 16-11066-77055 that retails for $5490, Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max – 256 GB – Black Titanium (Consumer Cellular) 25-11141-00032 retails $1399, and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max – 256 GB – Blue Titanium (Consumer Cellular) 16-11147-99170 retails $1399. The jacket was sold on January 18, 2024, delivered January 29, 2024, and on January 31, 2024, the buyer left positive feedback in addition to saying Yes I received the item The item was as described, I’m 100% satisfied with the purchase, I did inspect the item, The item was not damaged, I will not request a refund. Prior to delivery I noticed there would be a 30-day hold placed on my payment for this jacket which was too long for me to wait for my money. I contacted eBay and explained the reason why this order would need to be cancelled or unfulfilled. An eBay representative explained that once delivery is ed, and the buyer provides feedback like they did the money would be released. eBay did not honor this commitment and promise. My understanding is that the representative who communicated that information lied to me and most likely just told me what I wanted to hear to get off the call. On February 6, 2024, I had two iPhone 15 Pro Max’s sell while auctioned. Because of the continuous issues with the hold on the jacket I contacted eBay again since I’m unable to wait 30 days to get paid. I explained to eBay that for me to sell these iPhones either the money for the jacket would need to be released or iPhone payments would need to be expedited. eBay puts their commitment and promise in writing this time stating payment for iPhones will be released 3 days after delivery ed. The payment for iPhone should have been received 5 days ago and the payment for jacket should have been received 17 days ago. In addition to eBay not honoring their word they have restricted my account for no justifiable reason. Instead of delivering their promise they have placed additional holds making it even more difficult and challenging to simply get paid for selling a jacket and two cell phones. Everyday it’s something new such as verifying bank, proof of delivery, and removing negative feedback. I’ve been paid using my bank numerous times so why does it need verified now; why wasn’t it verified before, and it has been verified and eBay is still holding my money. Tracking is literally uploaded in plain sight on their own platform, that they created, on their website, using their labels for them to view at their leisure. There hasn’t been an issue with deliveries so why are we ing now? My deliveries require signature as an extra security measure. I’m concerned about eBay since there is not one reason to hold payment and delay it until tracking and delivery can be ed. The money that they are holding isn’t theirs; the products that were sold aren’t theirs. eBay is a platform where people go to buy and sell goods; they also facilitate the transaction; everything else they are doing to me right now is noise. I did not agree to pay fees under these new terms and conditions. As far as a fair resolution I believe returning the jacket and iPhones is reasonable; I can’t afford to pay fees under these terms and conditions.

Option 1 Return jacket and iPhones or refund me $8288
Option 2 Release holds $2500 and waive fees and shipping $650
