My complaint:
I was charged 55€ for one year of Duolingo without any notice… and when I tried to talk to them,
What I said in the email:
I tried super duolingo in the summer and it seems the trial period ended and without any warning i was charged 55€…(or at least receive my Money back without the Money of the almost 2 months that passed, that i did not notice that this happend…)
Their response to this was:
You are welcome to cancel the subscription, however, we are unable to provide a refund for you due to the subscription age and usage. So sorry for that!
And they annexed 2 photos to that, the first being the one that shows that I have (even tho I did not want it…) the one year plan and the second that I had a 49day streak, yes I had a streak, but they forgot to mention that I stoped the streak as soon as I noticed I was charged (robed) of 55€…
This is just sad, being tricked by what is supposed to be a learning app…
Suggested solution:
Give me back my money of the one year plan, or at least refund the one year plan minus 2 months (the time I took to notice the money missing...)
