My complaint:
Yesterday a crew arrived at the home where I work stating they needed to trim back branches from power lines. I told the man that approached me that they would need to contact the homeowner and gave him the name to contact. I left for about an hour and when I returned with the renter of the home, the crew was already feeding the wood chipper some of the tree branches. When I returned to work today I was shocked when I saw how the trees had literally been butchered, limbs still remain on the power lines, and the entire weight of whats left if the trees is left directly over the house causing an obvious safety issue for the renter. There was no 2 week prior notification given nor was the homeowner contacted. I have yet to reach anyone at Duke Energy to address this complaint. These were beautiful mature trees on private property and they were not trimmed in a professional manner at all not to mention the limbs that remain on the power lines will still need to be addressed.
Suggested solution:
Fire the the “professional” crew they sent. The only option that they left would be to butcher the other half of the trees to eliminate the risk of the trees falling on the house.
