My complaint:

My family and I moved into a new home with an old AC unit, our power bill skyrocketed and we didn’t make enough to afford the high bill. Duke energy does not offer a payment plan the only thing they offer is adding half of one months bill to your current bill for the next 3 months which then makes you end up paying more. I live with my elderly parents and 2 young children, They are threatening to disconnect our power if we can’t pay $1000. They offer no empathy and no type of services for elderly. I have a strong disgust for Duke energy, always have. I wish we had another electric company to choose from in Florida.
