My complaint:
Our power went out in the spring. Duke Energy came out to our home to work on the lines at the power pole. Apparently they decided to spray a perimeter around the pole with herbicide without letting us know. It would have been Ok if they had sprayed a small area around the the telephone pole where the transformer was. Instead, they sprayed about a 30′ area around the pole as well as an 80′ length down to the left of the power line as well, There was none, repeat no vegetation growing anywhere near this line. In doing so they sprayed and killed everything (including our raspberry bushes and sprayed our compost bin as well. Our compost is ruined and it will be years before we can re-establish the berry bushes.
Suggested solution:
I now need to have the area cut down and cleared. I would like them to send someone out here to do it. I would like to be compensated for the loss of compost as well. It was about 3 years worth of rich compost that I will not use for vegetable plants after contamination.
