My complaint:

customer for over 30yrs same address same account (no balance due)account number was so old started with 4 zeros. The power was cut off without notice, called to found out what the problem was and they informed me that 4 days prior that the account with my name was closed and service was issued to someone else at my address(would not disclose name) and on the day the power went out the new service was cancelled by the person that opened the account at my address… again if you call to inquire about service at an address you have to provide info such as dob and last 4 of ss. the customer service would not allow me to speak with anyone in management after being put on hold (every 3 mins) for over an hour call was dropped. Called back same as before after over an hour I was informed that I could be put on a call back list for a supervisor but could not speak to anyone in management. The call was never returned…they informed me for the three time that if I wanted service that I would have to fill out new account info because they were not turning my power back on ..well it just get’s better I was at work spend 3 hrs on the phone had to re-apply for service (they ran my credit which cost me points) but waived the 15 $ app fee than tried to up sale me additional services. also have to go back online to reset for paperless and direct pay.

Suggested solution:

verified with current service holder that a change order had been requested !!!!!!!

corrected the error they made restored my account and paid me for my time lost.

so in conclusion you can just call and have anyone's service changed into your name than cancelled because they don't refuse service.
