My complaint:

I have been a customer since April 2022 I’m on disability and I asked to be but on a fixed rate. I was told $141 a month due on the 5th. Cool. Now I made my first payment in May and the lady at Duke energy put my payment in as a reg payment not a fixed rate payment n I got kicked off that n billed $815 every month I call and speak to not 1 but 2 supervisors and every month since May I get apologized to n told how sorry they are but that they can’t do anything on there end to fix mistakes they made on my bill. I have never missed a payment and I even have paid every bill in full with there not once added on $815 but twice so now my past due bill sits at ova a grand and I’m expected to pay that for there mistakes so that my kids don’t go with out electricity. This is robbery in some way I’m sure and I want it to be righted. I shouldn’t have a racking up bill do to there negligence. I’m inquiring on how to go to the news about this.

Suggested solution:

Take the money off they tacked on from there mistakes and negligent with there system if I could I'd put no stars Duke is the worse
