My complaint:
On 04222022 when I tried to use the Direct Express card it was declined. I called and it showed balance was zero. I asked Direct Express why because the Goverment Benefits were deposited there every month on the 3 rd and I was told that this time the benefits were put in on the 1 st and that I already spend all the money on it by making 3 withdrawals at 3 ATM one in Marina Del Rey and other 2 in Los Angeles. I was in shock . I never ever been to any of those places and the card was in my wallet at all times . And we live in Orange County and we never go to LA ever. I filed a fraud claim they mailed me some paperwork I filled up everything and faxed to them and also mailed them.Direct Express said to hurry up because if my papers don’t get back to them in less than 10 days we will loose . So I did I faxed and mailed them . Like 3 weeks later a letter came from Direct Express in which they wrote no error occurred and they denied the claim. I called and explained that I am not happy with the denial because I did not go to any ATM on the 1 st to take the money out and that is obviously a Direct Express error because the card was in my wallet at all times . I said I would like to see what they based their investigation on and they emailed me my paperwork back plus a paper that had the name Sanchez on it that shows withdrawals made in LA area. At this point I would like to take Direct Express to Court because I truly believe they are the ones taking the Goverment Benefits from people that are disabled and I don’t think it is ok because the SSI money that are put on the Direct Express card every month by the Goverment never get to the beneficiary and they are taken by Direct Express and that is not ok. They need to be brought to justice as soon as possible . Please help

They need to do an investigation they cannot just lie about doing one and slap a piece of paper in our faces to make us believe that we stole our own money and that we complain about it after we do that . That is not fair . Direct Express is not honest about what happens to the US Government money . I truly believe that they really take our money period . So they need to be brought to court and justice needs to be served that how I think this should be served . We want justice we want honesty . That’s all we want .
