My complaint:
I paid for $211.00 for my one prescription (Amitiza 8mcg) and waited and the Consultation window to speak with pharmacist, who was in a nearby aisle helping a client find something (she had been waiting for Consultation when I arrived). The pharmacist took the woman directly to cash register; I heard him say, Oh no, I can ring you up. He had to walk past me but never acknowledged me standing at the Consultation window. The cashier who rang me ran over to the cash register offering to ring out the woman and mentioned me waiting for him. For some reason the pharmacist declined to let the cashier do her job which would have freed him to go to the consultation window sooner. The cashier advised I’d get a consult soon; however, my reply was, I’ll just look it up online. My husband was sitting in his SUV outside waiting for me. Besides I was in pain and needed to get home to start taking the medication. Why would CVS have such a rude, insensitive young man who leaves customers waiting with no acknowledgement of their presence acting as a pharmacist? Hopefully, it does not matter that I am over 65, female, and African American.
Suggested solution:
Store credit and an apology from the offending pharmacist would be a start.
