My complaint:

Hello, i made a reservation for 3-5–23, and was unable to make it due to I became ill and was hospitalized with staff infection, which is highly contagious and should not travel due to possibly 5–23, and was unable to make it due to. I became ill and was hospitalized with staff infection, which is highly contagious and should not travel due to possibly exposing people at the hotel. and per CDC recommendation. If you’re feeling ill, you should not travel. I contacted Priceline and they contacted the hotel and said the manager was not present to call back tomorrow and they would cancel the reservation. No problem that they just could not do it, given the circumstances and management not being there. So today I contacted priceline like asked To do they contacted the hotel. The manager was present and said that they would not cancel the reservation and refund it because I was a no-show which I was not. I contacted them 30 minutes after the Rivette reservation was made, and explained the circumstances, and that’s when I was told by them to call back tomorrow, this hotel manager is reckless and rude, and obviously would rather a sick person travel to the hotel, potentially , this hotel manager is reckless and rude, and obviously would rather a sick person travel to their hotel, potentially infecting, exposing multiple hotel guest to a virus but not only that completely disregarding IHG hotels policy on COVID-19 and quarantine regulations, and the CDC. It makes no sense to me why they would not refund my reservation when I was not there I am hospitalized, and physically could not make it. To top it off I even told Priceline this sounds like a bad idea to not take care of it right now and call back tomorrow and lo and behold. It was indeed a bad idea the manager called me a no-show and refuses to have empathy or morals, and wants to charge a person that’s laying in a hospital bed a reservation night for their own vendetta, I will never stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel again, and I really hope this manager is reprimanded in someway for breaking hotel policy and CDC regulation. for their own vendetta, I will never stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel again, and I really hope this manager is reprimanded in someway for breaking hotel policy and CDC regulation

Suggested solution:

However they see fit to fix the situation but for sure I want a refund for the stay that I was told would not be a problem when it clearly was.
