My complaint:
Purchased 4 economy extra upgraded seats in MAY for our flight from Montevideo to Panama on July 16th.
Two days before our flight departure, 2 of the seats we purchased were resold to other passengers. Our upgraded seats were replaced with basic economy seats in row 20.
One day before our departure, the other 2 economy extra upgraded seats we purchased were resold to other passengers. Our upgraded seats were replaced with basic economy seats in row 20.
I called COPA when I noticed this unauthorized change. They said they cannot do anything about it. This is absolutely unacceptable, completely disgraceful. I plan to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and any/all aviation authorities.
Suggested solution:
Even through every COPA employee recognized and acknowledged I purchased the seats in May and they should in fact be our seats, they refused to make any accommodations. They simply said they would refund our money. I expect a discount on the cost of the flight or upgraded seats if they refused to move the people they double sold our seats to. This was not done. They did not care, even though they said it was their mistake.
