My complaint:
We booked a hotel, St George’s Hotel in Great Yarmouth at 14.17 on 13th May to stay at the hotel on teh following day, 14th May. Once we had booked, we immediately received an email from Booking.com stating ‘At this time, we would like to inform you that 30% of our rooms as being used by local authorities to provide emergency housing during the pandemic.’ This was not mentioned anywhere on the website. If it had been, we would not have booked. We therefore cancelled the booking on the same day, 13th May 2022 at 16.53.
We have contacted both the hotel and Booking.com who have refused to process a refund of £97.20.
Suggested solution:
Refund us £97.20
