Booking.com complaint: My booking with Booking.com did not end well

My complaint:

I hope I find you well, I am writing this letter after my communications with Westone Manor Hotel. I emailed the hotel and they decided not to communicate with me, I never heard from the hotel staff or management
I booked a one-night accommodation at your hotel and unfortunately, my visit was ruined by an unexpected happening. On the 19th of December 2020, the day that I had to travel to No, just about 8 miles drive from Basingstoke my car developed a mechanical problem. I then phoned the hotel at exactly 12:11 noon and was answered by a staff member who happens to be a lady, l then informed her that l could not make it, I won’t be able to come because I had a problem with my car. I told the staff member who answered my phone that she must cancel my booking for that one night. The staff member assured me that they were no problem, she was going to cancel my booking.
On the 20th December 2020, I found out that money was dedicated to my account. I then phone the hotel at 16:16 pm and this time I was answered by a staff member called Hilary, I explained all that had happened and she promised to come back to me on the next day that was Monday the 21st of December 2020. In my conversation with Hilary she assured me that she will handle my cases after I had explained what happened, she told me that she could not do anything that day because it was a Sunday and the finance staff will only be available on the next day which happened to be Monday. Hilary promised to communicate with me the next day through email since I had informed her that I will be at work so I won’t be able to answer my mobile phone. I did wait for Hilary’s email in this regard but I never got any feedback as she had promised me. On the 24th of December 2020 at 11:38 am, I decided to do the follow-up of the matter, this time I spoke to Briana who advises me to send this email. Briana could not get hold of Hilary and could not do anything in this regard because she said that she was a receptionist
I am kindly requesting your good office refund my money back
