My complaint:

We booked a week in this apartment on the strength of photgraphs and reviews which were superb
On arrival we had to climb 6 small but very steep flights of stairs(no mention on booking . com) and the apartment was one very small room ,nothing like the luxurious apartment we expected. We complained to the agent and because the television in the room was not connected she agreed to move us down 4 flights to a one bedroom seperate lounge flat. The first thing that hit us was the strong smell of cigarette smoke. Our respective ages are 90 and 77, we were by then too tired to move. We spent the next day looking for alternative accomadation and the following day moved out to a hotel. We sent an email telling the agent that we were moving out early and also informed booking .com . To date neither the agent or booking .com have accepted responsibilty and of course no refund . Roy and Lynne Nokes

Suggested solution:

First they should take down the inapropriate photos which bear no relation to the actual flats and they should either give us a partial refund or a credit , We paid over £678 for this and we are both pensioners it cost us another £479 to stay in the alternate accomodation
