My complaint:

Good morning
I have a complaint about a AT bus driver piloting the 372 bus from papakura at 10.56pm Monday the 3rd July.
After two passengers boarded the bus I was in a line of three the driver Horsley slam the doors not letting me board the bus he’s then exonerated away quickly while I’m standing at the door of the bus this was extremely dangerous both myself and my retired guide dog were lucky we were not injured seriously
he left me and myself and Milo my13-year-old kelpie
chocolate Labrador x that has been a outstanding working dog a large part of her life standing in the rain .
Milo has arthritis in her joints and can only perform short walks
We then had to walk to our destination which was 4 km away this was all done in torrential rain and through some quite rough parts of Auckland giving me extreme anxiety to the point where I was hiding behind parked cars in fear while walking home..
Milo has boarded many buses and just happens to be this particular service 372 and same corresponding time frame 11pm,has given me life changing problems .
Few weeks ago the driver of 372 same time frame did not even stop for me and Milo waiting at bus stop . (Bet it same driver)
The driver was looking directly at us waving his hand and that gesture was educated to me as hi / hello??
Outright cheeky?
bottom line clearly this is aggravated misconduct
I’m regular paying customer

This driver is a discrace to your company.
He should not be allowed to operate a bus anywhere in New Zealand.

I will be sharing this story /complaint with the guide dog association
Also various other groups . Dog training classes , doggy walker professionals . My immediate family member who is a resident employee of the SPCA in Auckland .
Also Milo and myself will not be using your at services to travel in future .
Really quite sad for Milo she loved her once a month outing .

I would like to receive information about wat has been done to eliminate further major errors in your workforce
I really believe the driver of that bus should be stood down immediately for strict inspection and investigation before he ends up on front page of paper for injuring or even killing someone with his actions that are not acceptable in any way.
I will save this email and assure you that the first thing you will have to deal with after your driver has accidentally run some over or accidentally excelerated heavily while the elderly are not seated and cause broken hips leading to general ending of their lives .

And I will find out this drivers full name I have his name that the other drivers obviously call him thankfully 3 other staff were quick to check I was ok a driver from another bus and 2 AT workers from rail department
All of which is recorded by cameras by your company in papakura
This incident doesn’t require police action the way in which event unfolded kept Milo and I at a reasonable distance from harm’s way

Also my Father Martine Hine
Decorated lawyer from tauranga
Founder of Hine Eagle
Will give me correct direction as to were this should finish .

I’ll give you a starting point your employee should be stood down immediately for extensive briefing and special attention put on safety and competency I’m guessing once this is performed this particular driver won’t meet the standards requirements of a New Zealand bus driver that millions of people trust to safely deliver them to their destination

Your sincerely
