Air Transat complaint: Reserved seat not honoured

My complaint:

In order to ensure that husband would not get bumped, I paid for round trip reserved seating (Pearson-Rome-Pearson). Upon boarding he was told that his seat had been given up. WHY????? This is theft. He was then offered three seats in order for him to lie down so he agreed since his seat had already been taken and felt that he did not have much choice. However there was at least one other person in the alternate seats offered. WHY ARE WE PAYING FOR RESERVED SEATS ONLY TO BE AT THE MERCY OF THE AIRLINE WHEN ON BOARD?? This is very disrespectful and even worse is the nonchalant attitude that he can deal with it when he returns home. IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL GOOD CUSTOMER RELATIONS?

Suggested solution:

Reimbursement for reserved seat not honored and assurance that the same will not happen on return flight.
