My complaint:

Hi there,

I’m Harold obene and my wise account recently got deactivated while I was trying to send £150 to my friends account. I guess they thought it was fishy because he initially gave me his card details to pay for the £150, but it wasn’t successful as transferwise won’t accept a card on a different name. However he was able to personally send the money directly from his bank to my wise GBP sort code and account number. The money came in £150, then I tried sending the money to his local bank account here in Hungary and it suddenly said “we are sending your money but we are carrying out additional checks” which was okay. Then few hours later, it just deactivated my account with the £150 inside, I made an appeal and I got a response that they have decided to keep my account closed, which is fine, but then they said they’ll work on refunding the £150 within 60 working days. Are they mad? This is hard earned money, took my mate almost a week of work to make that money. Moreover he was sending it from UK to Hungary to pay his child support for his child who was recently born here in Hungary. And you are saying we should wait for 60 working days? That’s very ridiculous.

I don’t care if they keep the account closed but please refund the £150 pounds within the next few days as it needs to go towards child support. I have any proof you may require to show that the £150 money is legitimate and not fraudulent or fishy. It is hard earned money, took 3 days of hardwork. Please refund the £150 before this week ends. Thanks

Suggested solution:

Return the £150 thats held in the account. Return the money!
