My complaint:
I completed an online check in, to board West jet flight number WS4. Gatwick to Toronto. 1100hrs 16.04.2022. It stated that my passport had expired and so re-directed me to Government of Canada website. They checked my permanent resident card details and allowed me to fly using my PR card as my travel document. I was returned to west jet website and with this new information I was issued an electronic boarding pass. number 83858814608581. When i went back to the check in desk, the staff refused me entry as they did not know I could fly with just my PR card as my travel document. I spoke to the supervisor and then the person who oversaw all the west jet operation. He telephoned a senior member of west jet who also stated I could not fly, This is not correct as the government of Canada website stated I could and west jet issued me a boarding pass after obtaining the additional information.
Suggested solution:
I would like to fly back to Canada asap so I would like a seat on the next available flight.
