My complaint:
On the 13th of May my wife ordered bunk beds for the impending visit of our grandchildren who we haven’t seen for a long time.
On the 14th of May she was informed that the order had been shipped and delivery was due on 170521 in two shipments.
On 170521 shipment number31507073279959 duly arrived at 10.59am, however for some reason shipment number31507073274744 was returned to sender. My wife contacted yourselves and replacement bunk beds were ordered for delivery on 210521.
On the 21st there was no delivery and my wife had an email from Iain T apologizing and passed the problem to your specialist delivery team for resolution by end of day 270521.
On the 26th my wife rang your 0800 number and spoke to Irene who informed her that we should hear something by the next evening.
On the 26th my wife also had an email from Andrew Gannon saying that you were doing your utmost to resolve the issue.
On the 27th my wife had an email saying that the new estimated delivery date was280521.
THERE WAS NO DELIVERY ON THE 28TH.
On the 30th a new email from Gregg B saying the parcel would be delivered in 48 hours.
On 010621 message saying the delivery was on its way. The parcel duly arrived but was the same box that had been delivered on 170521.
My wife rang and spoke to Ceri who told her the parcel was still in depot and would be delivered ASAP.
We now have 2 days before the kids arrive !!!
Suggested solution:
I think anyone would agree this has been a complete disaster. We now have 2 boxes of identical parts but no second box to be able to build the beds.
I believe we should be offered a substantial discount for the total inconvenience of the whole buying process.
If the beds fail to arrive in time to be built I will certainly be taking further action.
