My complaint:
I received a text msg at 7:48 pm on 10-7-22 stating an Rx was ready and the pharmacy was open until 9 pm.
WalmartRx-Rx SPIRONOLACTONE is now ready at 6650 Hembree Lane. Open today until 9:00 pm. $0.98 due. Q? 707-836-7300. INFO info, STOP opt out
I rushed to get there and at 8:20 they rolled the blind down even though they saw me walking quickly straight for the window, and still closed the blind down right in front of me! They had a note on the window stating that they were closing early (NO estimated time of closing noted) and that they would reopen at 9 am on Saturday morning. They SAW me walking very quickly, making a beeline for the window and they still shut the blind literally in my face!
I was there LESS than an hour after receiving a text message saying they were open until 9 pm!
First of all, if you send someone a text message stating you will be open until 9 pm, then you should stay open until 9 pm!
Second of all and even MORE irritating is they shut the blind even though I KNOW they saw me coming – I was practically jogging! I know they are having staffing issues, but that was beyond RUDE!
If they had told me that they were short staffed and the registers had already been shut down, I would have recommended that they shut the blinds FIRST and THEN close the registers. This is NOT brain surgery!
They SAW me coming and shut the blind and hid from me! They said NOTHING to me!
I went to the front of the store to talk to the manager and he said I thought they close at 8 actually. At that point I showed him my text message stating they would be open until 9 PM. He then said they’re probably shorthanded. I let him know they saw me coming and still shut the blind. He then said well they probably already shut down the register and couldn’t have helped you anyway.
Wal Mart advertises that they are part of the community? Really? They didn’t even have professional curtesy to even speak to me – they just hid!
My mom gets her Rx’s at Walmart because it’s 2 miles from our house – IN our neighborhood, but I am ready to have her Rx’s sent to a pharmacy that is 20 miles away that offers 24-hour Rx pickup. It’s much further – but at least I know they won’t close the pharmacy door right in front of my face! My Mom doesn’t want to change pharmacies, but I am MORE than ready. In fact, I’m ready to send her odd Rx’s to Walgreens and shift ALL of her regular, daily medications to Amazon. I never used to shop on Amazon because I wanted to ‘shop local’ but Amazon is looking better and better!
Suggested solution:
They should have told me to my FACE that they had to close early (even though it borders on fraud to say you will be open until 9 but close at 8:20).
They should have treated me like a human being. I know they have to deal with rude people all the time, but they were behind a closed, locked door and they should have been human and professional and at least tried to tell me they were short staffed and had to close early. Instead, they hid!
Unprofessional, incompetent, and completely unacceptable!
