My complaint:
We reached out to get information about pre qualifying for a usda direct loan. We submitted in writing a request for a soft inquiry to be done. Much to our dismay, a hard inquiry was made. When we questioned the loan officer, she was defensive and not cooperative. Since we had requested a soft inquiry, if she was not able to accomadate us, she should have informed us and not gone ahead with the hard inquiry.
Suggested solution:
Remove from credit reporting agencies as the dispute states we did not give permission for a hard inquiry.
