My complaint:

I was traveling from Dahisar (west) Mumbai today (Friday 13th August, 2021) going to Vasai at 9:40 AM. While booking on the Uber app, the indicative price appeared as Rs 458-570 and would be charged in actuals on completion of the ride.
When I reached my destination, the Uber app. did not show the final amount as the network was down and id not reflect the and I paid the driver Rs 500.
In few minutes, I tried connecting to the UBER app and the invoice amount turned out to be Rs 167.
I called the UBER driver and mentioned that the invoice is reflecting as Rs 167 and since I paid him Rs 500, he should return the amount back; to which the driver, in a rude manner, said that he will not return and that I can take the matter directly with Uber.
This is a case of absolute cheating as when at the end of the ride, when I asked the driver, what the final amount was reflecting; he said he could not access the app since the network was not available.
The snapshot attached in this message has details of the driver’s name and car number.

Suggested solution:

I would request UBER to get in touch with the driver immediately and ask him to settle the balance amount to be paid to me immediately.
The attitude of the driver on the phone was very rude and arrogant and such drivers are only a liability to UBER and its reputation.
