My complaint:
Used Uber many times to travel from to home and Perth International Airport. Average fare $72 – $80 AUD.
April 8th, 2022 returned to Perth on an international flight and ordered UBER Taxi as usual. UBER claimed there were limited Taxis due to surge demand?? and advised me I would have to pay surge price.
The fare was $209.13
The claim of surge demand and then the exorbitant increase in price is disgraceful and can be best described as legalized gross overcharging.
Suggested solution:
50% reduction in fare and credited back to my account
