Uber complaint: Driver demanded only cash and he refused to accept through Mobile App

My complaint:

I had booked Uber Cab through my mobile App on 8-5-2022 for my daughter to reach the Airport. The driver called me and asked where to go and then said that he would accept only Cash and when I said no, he cancelled my trip. After that my call was not picked up by anyone for sometime. Then suddenly after I had booked a 3-wheeler through Uber App, a driver called me saying that I had booked. I immediately checked and found that a booking had taken place. I had to cancel it and incur charges. All this for no fault of mine.

Suggested solution:

I don't care about the 25 Rupees charged unnecessarily on me, though logically you should refund that amount to me if you want to do justice.

But the main problem is that in Chennai, this problem is very much prevalent. Every time whenever we book a cab, he demands only Cash or else he will cancel the trip.

What is the root cause for all this? Are you not paying the drivers properly ? You should address this menace or else you are loosing business.
