My complaint:
We had scheduled a ride via the uber app 2 weeks prior to our trip from our house to LaGuardia airport. We received ation that it was scheduled. The day of the scheduled trip, I received a notification that the ride would be there within 10 minutes. At the end of the pick up window, I got a notification that there were no cars available and my ride was cancelled. We weren’t charged but we ended up having to drive and park in short term parking at the airport which cost us $585 dollars rather than the $114 we had budgeted to pay for the uber. We had tried to call other taxi companies in the area but it was too short notice for any of them to provide service.
Suggested solution:
We would like compensation for the difference between parking we were forced to pay for at the airport and how much the ubers to and from the airport would have cost which would be $346. ($585-($114125) $346.
