My complaint:
On January 2,2023, I placed a McDonalds order through Uber Eats. As part of that order, I ordered 1 McDouble combo which cost $8.79 tax. While I did receive the Coke and fries from the combo, I did not receive the McDouble sandwich with my order. I would like Uber Eats to refund me for the cost of this item ($3.79 tax) that I never received. To be clear, I am simply requesting a refund for the item not received ONLY. I am certainly not requesting a refund for any of the items that were received and consumed. The premise in our society is that we pay money in exchange for goods. We DO NOT pay our hard earned money to receive absolutely nothing in return. That is not fair or just, and is in fact unethical. If you do not provide me with the item I have purchased, then you have a moral obligation to return the price paid for said item. I am a student on a fixed income (I work full time in the summer to put myself through school) who was trying to treat my mother as she had one of the most difficult days of her life and I am now out my hard earned money because your company has chosen to operate unethically.
Suggested solution:
Refund my $3.79 tax.
