My complaint:
I am a delivery driver for Uber. I conducted 6 trips on 112821, at the end of my last trip, I tried to cash out my payment. I kept getting an error saying that the app was experiencing issues and try again in a few minutes. I attempted to cash out several times after receiving the same message over again. The app was jumping back forth with my correct amount of pay. I uninstalled then reinstalled the app to see if that would work to no avail. The app was displaying that my funds would be available on 1129. I checked my account and there was no funds. I then checked the app and it had disbursed the funds and was displaying that my funds would now be available on 120621. I contacted customer support and spoke with a supervisor who went through some trouble shooting with me, added $10 to my account through the cash out process and it did work, she asked that I call back in a few hours after I explained that I could not afford to wait until the end of the work for my money. I was also advised to send a screenshot of my account and any other information. Upon speaking with another supervisor, I was advised that now there is nothing that they could do to expedite my funds and I, in fact had to wait. I do not appreciate or agree with the with existing issues of how this situation was handled nor how this is not the first technical difficulty that I have experience with the Uber app in the past couple weeks.
Suggested solution:
Uber needs to come up with a better solution of distributing a persons funds due to error within their app. If I am given an option to cash out my pay when in need, I should never have an issue with receiving my money if it had nothing to do with my banking institution. The customer representatives needs to be better equipped and trained when it comes to app issues or assistance and I shoul never be told that there is nothing that they can do.
