My complaint:
I made through Trip.com for my child’s air ticket. The primary issue revolves around the reversal of my child’s surname and given name on the ticket.
Upon realizing this error, I ly contacted Trip.com to request an amendment to my child’s name on the ticket. Unfortunately, my request was summarily rejected due to a prior modification made to my Passport ID. (because renewal happened and i informed the customer service before i purchased the ticket) and the 2nd reason is the airline policy
Subsequently, I reached out to the airline directly in hopes of resolving this matter. However, the airline informed me that they are unable to effect any changes to the booking since it was originally processed through Trip.com. The airline didn’t mention that the policy not allowed to change, they just ask to seek for agent help.
Trip.com’s response to this situation was equally frustrating, as they insisted on canceling the existing booking and re booking the ticket. The complexity arises from the fact that this is a child ticket, and I am unable to re book it separately without any adult.
This situation has left me in a difficult and inconvenienced position, and I implore you to consider the unique circumstances surrounding this child ticket and find a suitable resolution that does not require cancellation and re booking. Your assistance in rectifying this matter ly would be greatly appreciated.
Suggested solution:
amended the correct name sequence within a week.
