My complaint:

I bought an activation card at my local dollar general. I went to activate a phone my mom let expire for about a year. I did the automated activation and it said my plan was active and hung up on me. Well being that long it should have issued me a new number but it didnt. So I call back to find out they wont activate the phone cause they are upgrading thier towers and the phone wont operate correctly in a year. I then tell them that if the phone were active and I wanted to add minutes could I. They agreed that I could. So i gave them the option of activating my phone or refunding me 22.04. Which was the cost at my local retailer. 5 people later they said I was being unreasonable. But I couldnt return the card to the local retailer cause it had been used and they wouldnt refund the card or activate the phone. They offered to give me a coupon for40.00 off a new phone over 40.00 and I would have to pay the difference.

Suggested solution:

I just want my 22.04 or a phone for free that will work.
