My complaint:

I was a client of the ICP program through Well Space at the Salvation Army. After discharging myself from the ICP program through Well Space at Salvation Army I had property remaining there and was told the Salvation Army policy was they would only home my belongings for 7 days before throwing then away. I returned on day 7 after having been in contact with them on days 4 5 6 telling them Im trying to get there and get my belongings. On day 7 In ended up walking there and upon arriving I was contacted by one of the nurses who said she would get my things. She returned with a black plastic garbage bag with clothes in them and said here are you things and proceeded to usher me out the door. I stopped and peered inside the bag and didnt recognize any of the articles of clothing. Upon further inspection I discovered nothing in the bag was mine. I told the nurse and was told they must’ve thrown you thing out already I asked since they must’ve done that today may I retrieve my belongings from their dumpster and was told no because they didnt throw them out that day that it was the day before. I subsequently left there with none of my belongings. Then a couple of days later I was approached by a couple of other clients who informed me that the day prior to me showing up to claim my belongings they saw the nurses go through my personal belongings taking what they wanted then allowing the clients to pick through the remaining things and take what they wanted. This is not a part of ANY policy Salvation Army has in place. The 2 gentlemen who approached me with this information along with 2-3 other clients who saw what I described are all willing to write a statement to concur with what they saw. Not only were my clothes and such taken but so were my medication and my glucose-meter along with the test strips.

Suggested solution:

This can only be resolve outside of a small claims court room if I am compensated monetarily for the loss of all my belongings or at least the cost I've incurred attempting to replace some of the things that l've lost. With cost still coming as Im still trying replace a lot of my things.
