My complaint:
I frequent Home Depot in Vernon every 3 days for supplies. Yeste5day I noticed 4 staff without masks or face shield and was told it is an employee’s choice and there is no law to enforce. Prior to this everyone wore a mask. I went to Home Hardware and all wore a mask. I was told that If an employee doesnt wear a mask they are sent home without pay. I will now give my business to Home Hardware as they take Covid 19 seriously and do not cave in to employees who say they cant breathe. I wear a mask all day in a very physical construction job and there is no reason not to wear a mask. Oye province has encouraged all ti wear masks in public spaces although not law.
Suggested solution:
Do the tight thing and tell your employees they must wear a mask. With staff not wearing masks I see more public not wearing in home depot. Dentists wear masks all day and can breathe. If staff think they cant breathe then wear a face shield. Please give your staff masks and face sheilds and require they wear them.
