My complaint:
Last week I came in to buy materials for a current project. I needed wire in my project but the wire was locked up and I could not find anyone to open the cage for me. I went to customer service and the girl said “oh the person is there somewhere”. After 15 minutes of looking I gave up and went to ACE.
Today I stopped at the store to get a wire stripper and other items and found the same thing, all locked up. I searched the electrical isles and found a person to open the cage. She then said she had to escort me to a register to pay. That made me feel like a criminal. I left my cart in the aisle and went to pay for the stripper.
Home Depot will no longer be my first choice when I need job materials or anything else. I will also cancel my HD credit card. From now on I will go to Lowes or ACE for all my needs.
Suggested solution:
Stop treating ALL customers like criminals.
