My complaint:
Tesco delivered a £118 grocery delivery to our old address in Essex. We currently live in Yorkshire and have for over two years.
Tesco said the driver was not at fault even though he did not check name on delivery ,the people now living at the house apparently took the goods in and did not say anything .
We gave Tesco our old phone number but they said they tried it and could not find it as a valid number for new householders.
We contacted customer services at Tesco but they said they no longer respond to customer services email address.
We wrote to the CEO at Tesco by email we got a call back from the Directors office but basically they said nothing they can do unless receiver pays for goods or returns them.
Our household has 3 health professionals and work life is very hectic at present .
Tesco don’t seem to care or wish to do anything to help rectify this situation.
Suggested solution:
Tesco could have made more effort to recover the goods they delivered or compensate us for our loss.
