My complaint:
I booked a holiday to go to Egypt with my daughter on April 10th 2020, due to Covid our trip was understandably cancelled. I purchased the holiday for a total of £1049.00 and received monies for the flights by two partial refunds of £504.95 and £145.00 on 15.07.21 and 16/07/21 respectively, and a credit note for £303.05 (attached). Considering my total outlay was £1049.00, the refunds and credit note only total £953.00 – a shortfall of £66.00.
I was unable to use the credit note as Egypt remained in the red list until 22nd September 2021 and the credit note was only valid unit 31st December 2020.
I have repeatedly sent emails and letters, but have had no response since 211/08/21. Despite numerous emails (I have a trail), I have received no refund of the credit note and the last email I received from Teletext was on the 21/08/21.
Suggested solution:
By refunding the credit note that I could not use for the full amount of £399.05 and possibly interest for the amount of time they have been holding on to my money.
