My complaint:
Flight from SFB to YYZ on 17 March cancelled and I was only offered a rebooking a day earlier on 16 March. I was not offered the difference in fare (16 March flight was cheaper than 17 March flight when I booked on Jan 22). I also lost a days vacation including cost of Thursday night accommodation which couldn’t be refunded. I have tried to raise this with Swoop. They rejected my claim on the basis there was no need to compensate under compensation rules. However I am only asking for reasonable reimbursement for my out of pocket expenses.
Suggested solution:
Agree reasonable compensation amount for difer3nce in flight cost as at 22 Jan and cover my lost accommodation cost (approx $200)
