My complaint:
I am writing this for a friend, Marg Broderick, who doesn’t have a computer.
She and a good friend went to Swiss Chalet for a Christmas lunch this week and when they got there were told that it would be a half-hour wait. But it turned into a wait of an hour and a half. There were others waiting to dine as well and were very upset. Some left. They said they saw only one kitchen staff. There was a steady stream of people coming and going who had ordered by phone or online, but the restaurant patrons were kept waiting. My friend was very upset that the estimate for being seated was so off the mark from what actually happened. In that time, they could have gone somewhere else and had a relaxing meal. As it was, their meals, although good, did not go down well, and they ended up bringing half their meals home.
Suggested solution:
Hire more staff.
Give more accurate wait-time estimates.
Give restaurant patrons a good discount or coupon for future use if they have been so vastly inconvenienced.
