My complaint:

Filed a claim in Nov of 2021 and was sent to claim agent in Arizona. By word of mouth he informed me I had 1 water leak claim in my plan. I thought well this is mine.Knowing it was going to be extensive work, we hired a contractor known to handle insurance claims. Before doing so,a friend tore out two pieces of our hardwood floor to find the leak. The only evidence of the leak was our floor began to buckle. We immediately had a plumber turn off water supply. The walls were stripped to find leak, the cabinets removed and a pipe replaced. We made many calls to the office at which sometimes we were allowed to speak to someone and other times we were told they will return your call. Not so.Claim filed on Nov. 4th and one person appeared in Dec.to see what had been done and wanted too see the old pipe! Our contractor has several pictures of the damage. We are retired so therefore we had to come up with the funds to replace a kitchen. Not many in there 70,s have that kind of cash. We would appreciate even half of the 25to 30 thousand we had to spend.Final denial was Dec16,2021

Suggested solution:

They should be willing to pay for a least half of the replacement cost of the kitchen. It seems they spend a great deal of money on commercials but don't pay claims. In their info to clients they need to state what they pay for not what is not covered. It is amazing what all they list.
