My complaint:

In December, a pipe burst in my home and caused damages to the wall, carpet and bathroom flooring. The plumber had me call and report it to StateFarm. I received a text stating Statefarm would send someone out on the 10th of January but no one ever came and I called to the problem and was told that because of COVID, they don’t come out but I can take and send all pictures to them for estimates. I got a restoration company to take pictures and send to Statefarm, however, Statefarm is now refusing to pay the amount the restoration company has quoted to
them. Also, there was a change in adjusters in the middle of the claim process and he is now saying, each item that was damaged should be photographed and sent to them. Unlike the information I received from the first adjuster. At the time, that would have not been a problem but after I was told something else in the beginning of the claim, I think it is now unfair that I have moved the damaged things after I was told it was not necessary to photograph each item. Statefarm should be liable for whatever problems they are claiming now because they should have come out and photographed the damages and not ask other people to do it. This is unacceptable that my home has been unlivable in some parts for 2 months and the adjuster does not seem to care about my living conditions.

Suggested solution:

Pay the restoration company, immediately, for their cost and repair my home within the next 5 days.
