Shoppers Drug Mart complaint: terrible customer service

My complaint:

today June 12th at 2 pm i call the Manuels Store with a question for the pharmacy manager, he or she was off so i was directed to the pharmacist a Ms. Jessica JENKINS, i am a retired senior and have been a customer of Shoppers for well over 30 years as has my wife, at least 20 of those years were at Shoppers Manuels, we have spent untold thousands of dollars in the store,both goods and prescription drugs, Today i found that i had only one SERTRALINE 100ML capsule remaining from my prescription and i can’t see my doctor for 5 days, my wife called to see if i could get 6 pills to do me until my doctor’s visit and was told i could but would have to pay $12 plus tax extra, i called for an explanation and the druggist Ms JENKINS was not very helpful, she was rude and cut me off several times, she said the $12 was because she was taking full responsibility for renewing the prescription, which didn’t make any since because my doctor is the one that prescribed the drug, right from the start I told her i wasn’t upset however i was disappointed, at that point she bluntly told me if i had any issues to call your number, i told her i would and did however the office was closed being Sunday I guess, I also told her that about 6 weeks ago my wife found herself in the same situation and was given 10 pills to tide her over with no extra $12 charge, This day and age it is very hard for a senior to come up with an extra $12 and i couldn’t, so i have to go with my prescription for the next 6 days, i always thought Shoppers was a family orintated company by what Ms Jenking said I now know that’s not true, We could very easily just have our file sent to the drug store on the next block however, this is not about that, this is about a professional employee, a druggest, being very rude and disrespectful to a customer.

Suggested solution:

This Ms Jenkins needs to be reminded that she is the employee and we are the customers and should be treated with respect, Her type of approach is not what i would call appropriate customer service.
