Shoppers Drug Mart complaint: Incorrect drug form

My complaint:

My 2 year old was prescribed with Dexamethasone for treatment for his croup. As prescribed, the pharmacy failed to inform us that my son’s exact prescription was not available, without informing us the pharmacy just made it as what is available. 80mls liquid form as loading dose for a 2 year old. How can a 2 year old administer it in one taking. Even me as an adult is hard. They should have read the right age of the patient and gave other options. As the pharmacy said. They are under staff. We paid out of the pocket for that medication and they exchanged it with a different form and did not gave us a refund or just minus the difference. I

Suggested solution:

They should have gave a the refund for which it is their fault. They failed to check the age of the patient before preparing the medication.
