My complaint:
I moved here from Montreal Quebec on June 26 2021. My husband and myself have had some major issues within the past year and my daughter made an arrangement for us to move here. We both got our Health Card on July 7th 2021. We had transfered our Pharmacy (PharmaPrix) to Shoppers here in Mississauga.
On or about the 9th of July my husband needed his prescriptions, we went to the pharmacy, we paid $100. pluse the cost of the pills. OnJuly 15th I went to the pharmacy and I also paid $100.plus the amount of my pills…I spoke with 3 people as they wanted to know when I took my pills..ie: morning..night..or noon.I do not understand how they had to keep asking me the same question over and over. I also had to SORT out my husbands pills because they didn’t know when or how many he takes?? The gave me the bag fill of his pills and made me sort them…I am not suppose to do their JOB!!!. I have yet to get all of my prescriptions at 1 time. They are always missing some..How can a Pharmacy be out of medical supplies? I take Ativan…Don’t have it…I also take Pantaloc..for my stomach. ( Just had a Gastric Bypass Sleeve done in May…Pharmacist said he will just give me 14 for 2 weeks?? Sandos D I take 1per week did not include this because it is not covered. Synthroid…they do not have it in 1 pill I have to take 0.025mg and 0.112mg.
Now come the most annoying part of my complaint. My husband and I are both over 65years of age…He is 75 and I am 68. I do not know if you are aware of how much Pension we get BUT…I can not afford 400. in 1 month for the co-payment…The staff at the pharmacy said that. as of Aug 1 2021 we have to pay another 100. each for another year…All I got was 2 weeks and I am being told to pay again…Same goes for my husband. i was told that the first payment of 100 was for 2020..WHAT!!! We have only been here since June 26 2021…In other words…if I went to shoppers on July 27 2021 paid 100. I would have to pay again Aug 1 2021..That is just so wrong…
Suggested solution:
I don't believe you will ever resolve this problem unless you got new staff who is not going to make customers do their job. If I was going to use your Pharmacy what would make it so hard to have people pay the 100 fee and then the following year on the same date they pay for another...This way is crazy..I got a whole two weeks and your asking me for another year.. I left the store tonight really pissed off...I am still missing my MAJOR PUMP for my lungs..among other pills...I will not recommend this place to anyone. When I was in Montreal The Pharma_Prix was excellent...never a problem..BUT HEREI WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I AM CHANGING MY PHARMACY
