My complaint:
I went to the store today around 11:30 am with my baby and stroller. i was coming from Metro when i did some groceries. I purchased a hair dye and deodorant from this store and went to use the self checkout machine. I was in a hurry and didn’t noticed the machine was asking for the pin and I was walking out and the cashier stopped me and told me the machine didn’t go through. I apologized for the mistake, she then asked if those were the only items I was getting and suggested I stoled eveything else that was already in my stroller, at this point Im explaining to her that i came for metro and that i got stuff there and that she shouldn’t be accusing me. She never once apologized, she just continued to insist I almost walked out without paying which was an honest mistake. I then asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager and that he wasn’t available. She ignored and still didn’t apologized. I had to go to the cosmetic section and spoke to the nice lady there and she called the store manager. He came and spoke to me and finally apologized for the situation, but never once did he say anything to her. As I was walking out abd making my way out the store this lady said “have a good day”
Again, I go to this store almost everyday as I live close by, they should see that in PC points and they can also verify the cameras. This was a discriminatory offence against me and the worst part is that she never even apologized!!!!
Suggested solution:
Making sure the never accuse anyone specially with a baby without being 100% sure. Also proving extra staff to help with the self checkout machines.
