My complaint:
My SSN was used on my 1099k for 2018, 2019, 2020 instead of my EIN number. I found this out from the IRS who has amended my 2018 personal taxes and said I now owe $115,000. I contacted Shopify a week ago and was told someone would contact me in 24-72 hours. A week later, no one has contacted me. I called Shopify today and they said they are busy because of tax season and have a lot of requests in que. They said they can’t tell me how long it will take for someone to contact me. The IRS wants me to pay $115,000 by March 18. This is not reasonable nor acceptable. Shopify refuses to escalate the issue.
Suggested solution:
Correct my EIN number and re-file my 1099k\'s by March 12th. My ticket number is 22591646.
