Shopify complaint: Cannot find account they are charging me for

My complaint:

I started a free trial. I cancelled the account. Shopify is charging my card. It’s not clear what for. Shopify has told me that I must have started a store under another email account.

So they are emailing me details of my charges and then those detailed charges are in fact charged to my card. Shopify did tell me that they are certain that these charges are not for a store associated with my email.

Shopify expects me to find out what email address that I used to start this account. If there is another email address I want to know how it got permission to use my email account as a reference for charging my card.

I want future charges stopped and I want all unauthorized charges removed. I want to know if my privacy was violated by Shopify by allowing unauthorized linking of an anonymous email account to my account.

Suggested solution:

Remove charges on my card. Cancel future charges.

Explain how exactly they are allowing accounts to be opened on one email account, with all charges appearing on a different account with the original email account remaining anonymous and hidden.
