My complaint:
We were a group of travelers whose plane was delayed. We were given a hotel room and a €34 for food in the restaurant.
When we went for dinner, we were told that we could not eat in the restaurant and that we had to go upstairs to the banquet room.
When we went to the banquet room, there were only African travelers from the plane there. The food was unacceptable.
Moreover, they allowed White travelers to eat in the restaurant.
When we complained at the front desk, they made excuses that we rebutted and finally, they “allowed” us to eat in the restaurant.
So humiliating…I am a chaplain and a captain in the military, I never imagined being treated so disrespectfully.
Suggested solution:
Stop discriminating against people based on any reason to include race and ethnicity.
I experienced similar at Sheraton Cascais, Portugal. I was immediately made to feel unwelcomed so ended up not checking in. Luckily, I found alternative and far better accommodation in the centre of Cascais.
