Sams Club complaint: Charged for Membership – Membership Still Shows Expired

My complaint:

I renewed my Membership via the Sams Club app on 613 (member for 4 years). Paid $100 but the system still showed it as expired. Local member services tried to help and somehow activated my membership briefly (long enough to make my purchase) but then for some reason deactivated (deleted) my account afterwards. BTW – I was told not to use the Renew Now option on the app because they have lots of problems like this.

Returned on 621 to discover my membership was again showing expired. Local member services were unable to help and told me to call the 1-888 number. I was told my account had been deleted and that I would receive a refund by 629.

It is now 630… 3 phone calls, 97 minutes on the phone and (1) my membership is still inactive and (2) I am still out the $100 I paid on 613. I have spoken to 3 different people and had to retell the story 3 different times.

Suggested solution:

I simply want my money refunded. I do not want my membership reactivated. I do not want a gift card from Sams Club. I do not want anything to do with this company other than to get my money back and forget I ever did business with them.
