My complaint:

I came in this afternoon to buy wings at their deli..with every intention of paying…I noticed before I was ready to check out that an employee was watching me and following me very obviously..idk what I did to get her to act so boldly and obviously she was literally on my A all the way to self checkout I almost put my food down and left because I don’t want to give my koney to a company who profiles and is rude and trikes to humiliate innocent ppl. I was dressed nice I left my bag in my car I had my wallet and my sweater w me on my arm…she saw my money in my hands yet she STILL silently stalked me at close length until I got to self checkout

I have facial piercings idk if that’s what she went off to make the assumption that I was going to steal but I know I wasn’t misreading things…it was obvious to EVERYONE around,that she was following me.

It was so rude and embarrassing and I don’t understand why Safeway would want their managers to treat customers this way..I understand they deal w a lot of ppl coming in and stealing but they shouldn’t assume and they need to wait till they see the person put an item in their bag or something before they start following them around the store.

If Safeway doesn’t do something about this I’ll mvr so there again and I know a lot of ppl who shop there and I know if I tell them what happened they’ll stop shopping there and tell everyone they know not to as well and so on and so forth…so I’m hoping Safeway will do something about this too make this right.

Suggested solution:

Honestly Safeway should refund me my 15$ I spent there and the manager apologize to me. Because I didn\'t deserve that treatment and nor did I deserve to be humiliated in front of SO many other customers/ppl

Also they neednto talk you ALL their employees at this store ESP managers and tell them not to profile/target ppl by following them in the store and humiliating customers. And if they see someone steal (ie putting something they didn\'t pay for in their bag or something along those lines) then they should discretely call security and have them quietly pull the customer aside and handle things privately..a lot of times ppl take food they can\'t afford cuz they\'re hungry and ppl can\'t survive w out food and if that\'s the case they need to show a Lil mercy and empathy and show less corporate greed
