My complaint:
While scanning items and bagging a Hispanic women who was working the self checkout station reached into basket going through all my bags looking for an extra pack of tortillas she says were not scanned, after realizing her mistake starts in about items still waiting to be scanned as to her proof of me stealing. As she rescans several items such as my lemons and water I point out to her that she’s charging me twice. She then gets close to my face saying she didn’t do that that I did. When I reached out for help from security they told me to rescan my things AGAIN and were unwilling to get me someone from management. This Hispanic women not only targeted a fellow Latina but she humiliated me in front of other customers even after realizing her mistake. People like her should not be working in a place where she can tarnish someone’s reputation due to her prejudice. Just because she thinks her race are thief’s does not give her the right to target me on my night of shopping
Suggested solution:
She needs to be fired. This was not a small incident but one involving herself as well as the security guards who did not do there job. You can't have employees making false accusations against customers that were proven unfounded. In spite of her being proven wrong she continued on to save face. she humiliated me in front of several people. I work in a healthcare department where I see these same families all week! How dare she pull her stunt and not have the decency to apologize.
