Safeway complaint: Online delivery orders charging people without the orders going through! They have no record of it beware.

My complaint:

B October 3rd I place an online order for a pickup. With a heavy heart I had to cancel the order because I could not get to Safeway. I am disabled, no longer able to drive and the public transportation that day was an epic fail. The least liked employee at Safeway unfortunately took my phone call that night and let me know that he could not spare a smidgen of space in his cooler that night so I could pick it up the next day. Even though there were plenty of 7:00 a.m. slots still available for pickup. Not for me though. It was Just after 7:00. I immediately called a friend of mine and arranged for her to pick them up. It had not been 2 minutes since I spoke to that man. But in 2 minutes my entire order had been put back on the shelf. I don’t think so. I didn’t have the option to come pick it up anymore 2 minutes later. My family been waiting for food for weeks, the cats the dogs the babies. As if I didn’t feel bad enough that I couldn’t get my crippled self to the store. 2 minutes Safeway. That order is still showing that it’s ready to be picked up. So I tried to place an order the next day for delivery but the system wouldn’t take it. Oh I was charged for it, and then I was charged for another order that I never placed after that. So there goes all my money Safeway tied up in orders that I didn’t make, didn’t go through, and never picked up. And now I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a possible refund because it’s not in their system. Well it’s on my statement. We still have no food because I had to cancel my card. I am too afraid to get online and even attempted again with the new card I have. I went in there tonight hoping I would have the courage to find that guy who wouldn’t give me 2 minutes to get my order. But I only had 6 minutes to get coffee and get back on the bus. I am beyond beyond disgusted with Safeway right now. Their customer service Representatives will tell you over and over how sorry they are to hear it. But there’s nothing that they can do. Three customer service Representatives later I was informed that their systems just were doing that lately. Just charging people even though it’s saying that their order won’t go through and that the card is just not accepted. So you put in a new debit card and that card isn’t accepted over and over they are trying to charge your card. You’re backup card that is. The full amount is already covered on the card that you have provided. But no give them another card and another card and another card that they keep trying to charge $5, 10 $ on why. Why are you trying to charge my backup card these amounts when everything’s already paid for? Safeway I want my money back right now I want to be able to feed my family and my animals right now. And nothing I’ve got no responses back from them not from emails not from text messages through their horrific texting option.

Suggested solution:

They should resolve my complaint by simply issuing me the money back. It's $150 roughly in refunds. But I have lost the 50 plus dollars in free delivery, the $30 off in my first pickup order the $20 off and my first delivery order. The $10 off coupon that was in the ad that week for your first order because now all my first are counted as done already even though I never received them. I can't get that back. And that man who has been there forever treating people like inconveniences needs to be doing something else. I haven't met one person in this town who likes him or has one good thing to say about it everyone has had an issue with this guy, and I know my reviews have made their way into that store. Those people have changed their game and it shows. His smug fake smile and attitude show that he's trying because he's being made to. I'm glad it wasn't there tonight. Because he doesn't know that that order he couldn't hold on to you for 2 minutes it was me. He doesn't know that my kids are still waiting for food because of him.
