My complaint:

I was flying from Madrid last night at 9.30. I had all of my documentation and had checked if there had been any changes on the Gov.ie website.
I had the following:
– EU Vaccine Recovery Cert
– Professionally administered Antigen Test result
– Passenger Locator Form
The guy at the desk refused to accept my documents and told me that I needed to go and get a PCR test otherwise I could not fly. I tried to explain that I had all of the necessary documents but he said that the vaccine recovery cert wasn’t acceptable.
I also had this update which was 23 minutes before speaking to him:
From the Journal.ie
For vaccinated people or those who have recovered from Covid-19, this means either a negative antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before arrival or a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival
He still wouldn’t accept my documents and sent me to the queue for a PCR test which was massive and would mean me missing my flight. It was very distressing as I waited in this queue knowing the I would miss my flight. I saw him leaving the desk and took the opportunity to approach a lady at the desk with the same documentation and I got through without any difficulty. My documents were checked a further 3 times before boarding the plane and there was absolutely no issue.

This was absolutely appalling professional conduct from one of your employees. I would have paid a fortune for an unnecessary PCR test, missed my flight, had to find somewhere to stay in Madrid and missed work. It was completely unacceptable. It was sheer luck that I came out of the queue when I saw him leaving.

Suggested solution:

I am not sure but this was exceptionally bad and extremely stressful
